Sensei Simon Marchant-Jones, 3rd Dan

Sensei Simon is a JKA Qualified Instructor and third dan black belt. He first studied karate at Leeds University in 1974. In 1976 he moved to London and joined the renowned Marshall Street dojo of the late Sensei Enoeda until 1982 when he rested until 1999!

In 1999, aged 45, he re-commenced training and gained his first black belt in 2003 under Sensei Ohta, Chief Instructor of the JKA in England, and passed the second dan in 2006. In 2011 Sensei Simon passed his third dan, graded by Sensei Ohta 7th dan and Sensei Daniel Lautier 7th dan of JKA France.

Sensei Simon trains regularly at Sensei Ohta's club, Oasis SKC, so that he can bring back new teaching methods to Harpenden JKA students.

Sensei Simon is a chartered accountant and treasurer of JKA England.
He is registered with the UK Register of Learning Providers no. 10027871 and has enhanced CRB disclosure.
