GRADING RESULTS: STEVENAGE 9 JULY 2011
Stevenage JKA held a training and grading with Sensei Roy Tomlin on Saturday at Barclay School, Stevenage. Harpenden JKA students attended and after an hour's training they were tested for their next belts. Esther Batt and James Muller, from Wood End After School Club, gained yellow belts and so did Tom Garlich from the Batford Club. The standard was very high - red to yellow is a big jump in standard so now the tough training begins!

GRADING RESULTS: BIERTON 26 JUNE 2011
Tairyoku SKC Club hosted a grading with Sensei Adel Ismail after some hard training. Congratulations to Matt Start and Sian Pearce for gaining their first belts (9th kyu), Natalie Edwards 5th kyu, and Hugh Mulley 4th kyu. Hugh had to work especially hard because his partner needed more kumite to prove herself! Camden Nightingale excelled himself by double grading from yellow to purple belt - so well done all! A superb effort.

JKA England are raising funds for Dreams Come True, a national charity serving the whole of the UK with the mission of bringing joy to children who are terminally or seriously ill by making their treasured dreams come true.
Harpenden JKA students spent one hour punching, blocking and kicking. We exceeded our target of 1,800 techniques by 5 and we completed 11 kihon katas. It was a fantastic effort and I am immensely proud of our students and their dedication. We raised £749 for Dreams Come True.
Some photos are below; see our gallery for pictures of the superb efforts everyone put in on the evening.

And a special guest was Sensei's son Michael who had not trained before, but raised over £200. Michael was welcomed by Sensei Simon and Sensei John Delahunty:
