SPECIAL BEGINNERS' COURSE

We are pleased to offer a special introductory course for beginners in 2010.The course includes a FREE KARATE SUIT after you complete four weeks' training and you will be assessed for your first belt - an orange and white stripe belt - when you have completed 12 weeks of training. 

 

The package of lessons on Tuesdays from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm will take you through the basic techniques of karate - striking, blocking, kicking - and the first kata, Kihon kata.

The cost of the course, including a free karate suit, is payable in three instalments of £25 every four weeks. You will be given a free karate suit when you have paid the second instalment. PLEASE NOTE: after four weeks you will also be required to obtain a JKA Licence which costs £20 per annum (not included in the course fee). TO RESERVE A PLACE GO TO OUR ON-LINE SHOP

Christmas Party at the Amble Inn, Harpenden

Thank you to everyone who came along for a Christmas drink after training on 8th December 2009. We all had a good laugh in relaxed surroundings.

Grading with Ataru Club and Sensei Adel Ismail in Shefford on Sunday 11 October 2009

Sensei Ismail gave us all some hard training and then took the grading. Congratulations to Alison and Harry gaining 4th kyu, Jake 8th kyu, and Hugh and Livasha 9th kyu.

Report of our grading held in June 2009 in conjunction with Tairyoku SKC 

Congratulations to everyone who passed - Alison and Harry 5th kyu, Andrew and Rupindar 3rd kyu, and Jake 9th kyu. The grading followed a hard training session with Sensei Ohta, and everyone tried very hard despite being exhausted!
